GRANUJA, ONE OF MY FAVORITE RAPPERS

Granuja is a Colombian rapper and producer with a unique style that has made him one of the most important figures in Medellín's rap scene.

He started writing and freestyling at a young age, and over time, he dedicated himself to producing his own beats, creating a sound that sets                                       him apart from the rest.

I discovered Granuja’s music thanks to one of his most famous songs, Ateo, From the first listen, I was drawn to his deep lyrics, his unique voice, and the way his beats create a special atmosphere.

His music stands out for its thought-provoking lyrics and a voice that gives a special touch to every song. Additionally, his beats have a distinct essence that reminds me of classic rap, influenced by producers:

(like J Dilla, Madlib, and DJ Premier)

In 2016, he led the Rap y Hierbas project, bringing together several rappers from Medellín and releasing a new song every Friday. Then, in 2017, he dropped his album Círculo Vicioso, where he explored themes like religion and the culture of Medellín, establishing himself as a key figure in Colombian rap.

He has also been part of the Moebiuz collective and collaborated with artists like Zof Ziro, Crudo Means Raw, Mañas Rufino, and Métricas Frías. Together, they have created some of the best tracks in contemporary Colombian rap.

Granuja is one of my favorite rappers not only because of his lyrics and voice when rapping but also because of his rap beats, which have a unique and immersive sound. His style makes him stand out, and listening to his music is always a great experience.
